At a unit in Metro Harbour View, the silicone at the joints between the window frames and the external wall had failed and opened up gaps, letting water seep in around the windows during heavy rain. Working from scaffolding on the external wall, Amgen scraped off the failed old silicone around the frames, re-applied silicone sealant to waterproof the joints, and thoroughly re-sealed the frame-to-wall interface. On completion the joints were fully sealed, effectively preventing window-edge seepage.
